Cornell Lab of Ornithology

Located in a wooded marsh environment, this working laboratory and visitor center is specifically designed for the study of birds and their habitats.  The lighting of the library addresses the graceful, architectural configuration of the space.  Original ornithological paintings are inset into the paneled walls of the Fuertes Room and washed with light.  All of the lighting solutions for this project were designed to support and enhance the viewing of birds outside the building and the museum displays throughout the visitor center.

Location: Ithaca, NY

Client: RMJM Hillier
