at Illumination Arts understands that the design process is a
collaborative one, and that a project is most successful with the input
of all members of the team. Our best designs are created when we work
closely with clients, owners and stakeholders to develop the most
responsive and appropriate lighting designs for our projects.
The team at Illumination Arts has more than fifty years of combined
experience in every aspect of the lighting design process for all types
of projects. Coming from backgrounds in theater, architecture, fine arts
and business, we bring a perspective that complements that of our
clients.
IA was founded in early 2004 by Faith Baum and Ken Douglas. Since then,
the firm has designed more than sixty projects, including signature
bridges and other transportation projects, schools, commercial office
buildings, synagogues, museum exhibits and hotels. IA is certified as a
Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise
(DBE) and a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) by state and local agencies
throughout the Northeast.
