A commons Building containing a large Cafe, Lounge areas and a 350-seat divisible Meeting Room anchors this 600-Bed Residence Hall. The project achieved LEED Gold certification, with lighting designed to minimize the impact of the energy package while addressing the practical and aesthetic requirements of the building. Sleek, contemporary luminaires illuminate the public spaces, and dormitory rooms include a mix of decorative and functional lighting to create a comfortable living environment. All lighting fixtures were selected to withstand the intentional or unintentional abuse that might occur in a university environment. The end result is a visual landmark on the campus, and a welcoming space where students and faculty can meet, study, work and live.
