The challenge
of bringing this quintessential French department store to the United
States was compounded by its location in several existing contiguous
buildings at 57th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York City. The lighting
addressed these physical challenges, while also providing a
contemporary, upscale look. A variety of luminaires were used to
differentiate one department from another and create the sense of
boutiques within the larger store.
